Health centre Lunetten
Digital signage brings different disciplines together on one screen
Health centre Lunetten in Utrecht is at the heart of the neighbourhood, both literally and figuratively. The health centre houses multiple disciplines such as GPs, physiotherapists, psychosocial counsellors, and a pharmacy. And through digital signage, all disciplines come together on one screen.
Informing a broad patient group
The patient group visiting the health centre is diverse. Therefore, digital signage is an ideal solution to optimally inform patients with different needs. The digital signage screen provides the opportunity to display information on various health topics, complaints, and healthcare services in the Netherlands: "Something for everyone," according to a staff member at the health centre.
Each discipline manages its own information
Wachtkamerschermen® was chosen because of its decentralised management, allowing each discipline to manage its own information: "Everyone has their own login credentials, and in the management environment, everyone edits their own section. The advantage of this is that we can always see what information other disciplines have added. Handy, because this way we know exactly who is communicating what."
Replacement for the notice board
According to the staff member, the digital signage screen is working well: "Through our digital signage screen, we can professionally provide patients with information and fun facts without covering the waiting area with posters and notices on a board. We also use the digital signage screen to display news about our health centre, house rules, and information from Thuisarts.nl. We aim to alleviate the feeling of 'long waiting' for the patient."
The health centre reports that patients in the waiting area watch the broadcast a lot. The broadcast features a varied mix of (static) messages, images, and videos or animations. This makes it appealing to watch the screen and can keep patients engaged for longer: "Occasionally, a patient will ask a question about something that came up during the broadcast. From this, we gather that the broadcast is being well-watched and that the information we provide is clear to the patient. We are very happy with our screen, and it meets our expectations perfectly!"
