Onze Huisartsen

Onze Huisartsen is a facilitating and supporting organisation of, for, and by approximately 200 affiliated GPs in the Arnhem region. One of the core objectives of Onze Huisartsen is to reduce workload. Therefore, various support services are offered, such as joint purchasing.

Digital signage as a valuable communication channel

Recently, Onze Huisartsen started a collaboration with Wachtkamerschermen®, offering affiliated GPs a special package. Simone Kwant from Onze Huisartsen explains: "We consider digital signage a valuable communication channel. Through a Wachtkamerscherm®, GPs can easily inform patients about the practice or the use of the patient portal. As an umbrella organization, we can also centrally offer content that is important for everyone. Think of information about MGn, LSP, OPEN, or announcements about the Coronavirus. And all this in a recognizable and uniform appearance."

Integration with website

Additionally, Simone points out that Wachtkamerschermen® was chosen because the digital signage can be integrated with a website. Recently, Onze Huisartsen developed a website format in collaboration with web developer SiteSupport. Affiliated GPs can use this website format. A major advantage is that all websites have a uniform appearance, but each individual practice can still post its own messages. Wachtkamerschermen® ensures that these messages from the website are automatically displayed on the digital signage. This means a GP only has to enter a message once, saving a lot of time.

Together with Wachtkamerschermen®, Onze Huisartsen and colleagues from NEO Huisartsenzorg (formerly CIHN) drafted a framework agreement with interesting (tiered) discounts and arrangements to help GPs get started, such as a fully equipped basic playlist. “By joining forces with NEO Huisartsenzorg, we can achieve even larger numbers. If a GP is interested, we only need to pass this on to Wachtkamerschermen® and they take care of the rest.”

Automated display of information

Finally, Simone mentions that she finds it very practical that Wachtkamerschermen® works with modules that automatically display information. For example, the Thuisarts.nl module, which shows monthly changing information about complaints and conditions. “As I mentioned earlier, reducing workload is a priority for Onze Huisartsen. A digital signage system that requires minimal attention from a GP fits right in with this!”
